I had to hold in the power button to power off and then restart my computer. Upon restart the BIOS reports that overclocking had failed but I am not overclocking - not even the memory. This or something similar has happened a handful of times in the last few months. The very first time it happened I was overclocking the memory but have not since I got this error the very first time. Now I am thinking there was never anything wrong with the memory overclock and this is a bogus error being caused by something else.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting this issue would be welcome. BIOS version Built this computer back in November and it ran several months before I got this error for the first time. Hi Barbara When you get the overclocking failed message when not overclocking it's likely due to your ram. If your ram kit is over MHz technically that is considered overclocked.Windows 10 Keeps Rebooting FIX

PC restarting itself aautomatically on boot Hey Guys, I'm hoping you can help me solve my problem because I don't know whether my motherboard is dying or whether it's a bug that I can't find.
What's been going on is I was mucking around on the Gigabyte GPU overclocking tool that came with my GTX ti GPU and I defaulted the card to the OC setting and then pressed 'confirm', all of a sudden my computer started freezing so naturally I restarted my pc and then this is where the problem started. It loads into BIOS but once everything has been initialised it continues to restart itself once it try's to load Windows 10 Pro and it'll constantly loop itself over and over again.
So, as a last resort I even reinstalled Windows 10 Pro and it installed without an issue but it just won't boot into windows. Before this problem occurred all my hard drives were being read without issues and nothing had a problem.
I've tried my GPU in another computer and it works perfectly fine, boots and everything but on my computer it'll post but won't boot or load windows, I even uninstalled windows again and installed Windows 8 and that didn't work either. Just for reference my computer specs are the following: i7 x 4. S It's been happening for almost 1 week.
Thank you guys!!!! If not, disconnect all drives except that one, make sure it's recognized in the bios and try installing windows again. After the installation make sure it's set as the first boot device. Or if you do a UEFI install make sure "windows boot manager" is set as the first boot device.
If that doesn't work, try installing windows on one of your other drives, only have one drive connected when installing windows. Windows 10 installed in this mode will default to Legacy bios. Thread starter warriorunited Start date May 27, Joined Jul 16, Messages 58 0. Hello Everyone. So, i've bought the Asus Strix ZF Gaming, i've been buying this same inneration of their motherboards for some years now, and never had a single problem until this very problem i'm having with this one: I, i installed everything, the PC turned on normally, formated windows, etc The first weird thing i noticed is that on the Windows configuration it asked me to connect to the internet wich always wasbut i tought it was for the lack of drivers for a new chip or something, so i plugged in my wifi adapter and got internet.
After that first step, i got into windows, installed all the drivers, and i still wasn't able to get Ethernet connection, until i reseted the Internet Settings and powered off the PC completely and after boot everything was working finally. But now the real problem is: Ethernet stops working everytime i reboot my PC, if i totally turn it off it works normally after boot, but i just restart the PC i lose ethernet connection unless i cold boot it!!
Right now it's working because i turned off the PC, removed the power cord and plugged it back in, and it's working, but if i restart the PC i lose the connection, i check the cable connection behind the Motherboard even the lights of the connection are not working unless, again, i cold boot it.
I've tried multiple things to figure out the problem and can't find anything P. Before you ask, the ethernet cable is working perfectly. Best regards all. Joined Nov 11, Messages 6, 1. I would just RMA the board, as it seems like something is broken. Never seen Ethernet behaviour like that.Products Phones Laptops Desktops.

PC keeps restarting on cold boot. Most of the time, when my PC has been turned off from the PSU, when I next power it on it starts for a second, then switches itself off, and turns itself back on about 3 seconds later.
When it does this, the American Megatrends screen will appear and tell me to press F1 to enter setup. At this point, all of my BIOS settings need to be re entered. Many sites I've previously seen have mentioned the XMP being the culprit, but I believe it does it with or without it switched on.
Below is a video of what happens when I switch on my PC from a cold boot. The first 2 or so months of having it, I never experienced this problem, and I switched off the PSU every time I was done with it. Thank you for any help, I'm really stumped here.
PS, I've never played around inside any Computer so any fixes that don't require me to do so would be helpful too. Clear your CMOS to bring your system back to stock defaults.
Then test. That'll tell you if XMP is the problem. Or press F1 and enter the bios and hit the F5 key, this will reset to defaults too. Yep, I suspect memory failing post also.
To get your ram stable at MHz, you likely need to raise the cpu system agent voltage and cpu vccio voltage. Both at 1. Set your ram manually to its rated specs with the cpu system agent voltage and cpu vccio voltage at 1. If it still doesn't post, try them both at 1. Good luck and give us an update.
